The technology is interesting but I believe the description is misleading. The words “Under Control” have no place in a sentence that includes firing a NET over a drone. It is not under control, it is not safe, it is a drone falling from the sky onto whatever is below it at the time. If that is a open field that’s fine, if it is a freeway, or a soccer stadium full of people that is not so fine.
Even the previous statement that they will interfere with the GPS and guidance functions is fraught with disinformation. While the drone MIGHT return to it’s takeoff point, if you interdict it’s ability to navigate, it obviously cant do that. Now you have a drone possibly hundreds of feet in the air that at some point will either auto-land with NO CONTROL over where it lands, or worst case run out of battery and tumble from the sky blades whirling to become a flying circular saw of carnage below.
Unless you can accurately spoof both control and GPS to the point of taking accurate and FULL control of the Drone, you may be more of a problem than a solution.
