Chinese Hybrid Achieves 7 Hour World Endurance Record

A Chinese hybrid multirotor drone achieved 7.3 hours world record endurance. It was a Hexa multirotor with 44 lbs (20kg) all up weight powered by hybrid system and carried 2.8 gallon (10.5 liter).

On January 19, 2018, a hybrid drone named ‘Owling’ took off at 9:15am and landed on 16:32pm. Flight hours 437 minutes. The hybrid system was provided by Richenpower Ltd.

Pilot

The H2 Drone Hybrid System normally claims 2.5+ hours of flight time with 1 gallon of gasoline (3.7 liters). Other features include:

  • Power on Demand, for short POD
  • Generator and battery dual power
  • High efficiency AC-DC algorithm
  •  Limp Mode.
