First Flight for Turkish Aerospace Anka-Aksungur

has released video of the first flight of its new twin-engine medium-altitude ANKA-AKSUNGUR MALE unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in flight.

A twin-engine version of ANKA UAV with high load capacity at medium altitude has flown for 4 hours 20 minutes. UAV is powered by TUSAŞ Engine Industries (TEI) PD170 engine.

According to the current information, the new Turkish UAV should have a payload mass of 750 kg (including armament), a working ceiling of 40 thousand feet (12,000 m) and a flight duration of more than 24 hours.

The UAV is equipped with a useful reconnaissance load of Turkish production (the lead developer is the Aselsan company) and a satellite communications system via the Turkish TURKSAT satellites.
