Azur Drones’ Skeyetech Drone-in-a-Box System Authorized in Germany

Azur Drones,

a supplier of drone-in-a-box solutions, announced that German National Airworthiness Authorities have recently granted an operational authorization for its Skeyetech system.

This authorization paves the way for many planned deployments in the country.

The German approval allows Skeyetech BVLOS drone operations, day and night, over private areas, under the supervision of an operator (no need for a certified drone pilot). It was issued following a risk analysis based on the SORA (Specific Operational Risk Assessment) methodology approved by the EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency).

Obtaining this new authorization, based on Azur Drones’ standard CONOPS (Concept of Operations), proves that the company has built an efficient baseline to expand over Europe. Skeyetech systems are already been operated in France (as of 2019), Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany, and the company is in the process of getting new authorizations in several European and Middle East countries.

Precursor in innovating drone operations, Azur Drones keeps contributing to regulatory works at the international level to make autonomous flights a standard and the drone-in-a-box technology accessible to industry.
