. has announced a new alliance with Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments Company (ADASI) that allows for support and sustainment of Insitu’s intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) unmanned aircraft system (UAS) products and services in the Middle East.
“As we collaborate on approaches to grow into the Middle East market, we will explore solutions for next-generation, unmanned ISR systems and support in the international marketplace,” said Insitu President and CEO Steve Morrow.
Insitu and ADASI hope that the proposed collaboration will enable the parties to perform joint support and sustainment activities on Insitu’s ScanEagle and Integrator UAS. Proven to perform in extreme-temperature, expeditionary environments, Insitu’s ScanEagle first deployed to the Middle East with the U.S. Marine Corps in 2004. It has since accrued combat flight hours, faster than any other tactical UAS.
“Insitu brings 550,000 combat flight hours of proven experience to the team,” said Insitu Senior Vice President of Business Development Ryan Hartman, “and ADASI brings local talent and innovation. We’re excited about what the future holds for our two companies through our alliance.”
“I am very pleased that, through our cooperation with Insitu, ADASI will be able to add a small, long-endurance UAV to our portfolio of unmanned systems. I look forward to working closely with Insitu to develop a range of new business opportunities for both our companies across the Middle East, using our regional experience together with Insitu’s exceptional technical capabilities,” said ADASI CEO Ali Al Yafei.
ADASI offers clients acomprehensive range of services involving development, integration, acquisition, operation, maintenance and training for unmanned or autonomous systems. ADASI provides support to the Armed Forces as well as to other customers in the UAE and across the region.
