NIST Announces Top Four Winners in the National First Responder UAS Endurance Challenge

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) recently announced the four winners of the 2021 PSCR First Responder UAS Endurance Challenge. In the four-stage challenge, participants designed, built and flew an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) with the goal of flying for the longest time possible while carrying a 10-pound (4.5-kilogram) payload. Royal Appointment in Recognition of UAS-related Activities

On 27 April 2021, in recognition of his relentless efforts over the last 25 years on behalf of the European and international unmanned aircraft systems communities to further the creation of rules, regulations and standards for these systems, highlight their societal & economic benefits, and promote their use, Peter Hubert van Blijenburgh, a Dutch national residing in Paris, France, was appointed to Officer in the Order of Oranje-Nassau, one of two chivalric orders that exist in the Netherlands. Iran Showcases Drones at Annual Military Parade

Iran has shown off an extensive collection of its military drones during the country’s annual National Army Day parade on April 18.
