Burning Man Festival Issues Rules for Flying UAS at Event

Participants flying unmanned aircraft systems at the Burning Man Festival (August 26 – September 2) have developed a set of best practices for flying at Black Rock City this year. The best practices came out of a July 17 “Drone Summit” at Burning Man headquarters that had 40 in attendance and an estimated 100 on a teleconference. Northrop Grumman Hosted United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) Innovation Challenge Winning Teams at AUVSI

Northrop Grumman Corporation hosted the winning teams from the 2013 United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) Innovation Challenge at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) annual conference and exhibition. DARPA Wants Unmanned Submersible Mothership to Deploy UAS and UUVs

Unmanned vehicles designers at the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in Arlington, Va., will brief industry next month on a project to develop an unmanned submersible designed to transport and deploy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) stealthily close to enemy operations.
