Gremlins Program Demonstrates Airborne Recovery

An unmanned air vehicle demonstrated successful airborne recovery during the DARPA Gremlins program’s latest flight test deployment last month. During the deployment, two X-61 Gremlin Air Vehicles (GAV) successfully validated all autonomous formation flying positions and safety features before one GAV ultimately demonstrated airborne recovery to a C-130. German Navy to Get 3 UMS Skeldar Sea Falcons

The Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) has concluded a contract with ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH as the main contractor for the procurement of three Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), introduced in the Bundeswehr under the name “Sea Falcon”, for the K130 corvettes of the German Navy. India’s Secret Ghatak Programme

Ghatak [Hindi-language = Lethal or Dangerous] is a fully funded and sanctioned national defence project for an Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV). Autonomous Unmanned Research Aircraft (AURA) was a tentative name for an Indian UCAV project, but was eventually called the Ghatak UCAV. In 2007 the public learned about the AURA program for an autonomous unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV), being developed by the DRDO for the Indian Air Force. Continue reading
