GA-ASI Awarded AI Smart Sensor Contract

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. was awarded a $94,808,020 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research, development, test, and evaluation of Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence for the Smart Sensor Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) prototype. The work was awarded by the Army Contracting Command on April 30, 2024, with an estimated completion date of March 31, 2026. Continue reading

uAvionix along with its partner R Cubed Engineering, has announced the AIMS Mk XIIB certification of the RT-2087/ZPX-1 (ZPX-1), the World’s first AIMS-certified Mode 5 Micro-IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) Combined Transponder Receiver (CTR) and the first ever Mode 5 CTR to be AIMS-certified when paired to the newly certified KIV-79. GA-ASI Adding AESA Antenna to EagleEye Radar

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is continuing its support of EagleEye multi-mode radar development with a company investment to add an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) antenna and associated software that will increase range and deliver significant mode enhancements. AESA will be a “drop-in” hardware upgrade to the existing EagleEye radar and could be an option for the new Gray Eagle 25M (GE 25M) aircraft assembly when ready. Continue reading

Kratos Demonstrates XQ-58A Electronic Warfare Capabilities for US Marine Corps

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., a National Security Solutions provider, announced that Kratos Unmanned Systems Division has successfully demonstrated the ability of the XQ-58A to fly in concert with two F-35 aircraft and the ability to deliver an integrated electronic attack (EA) capability on the XQ-58A Valkyrie aircraft during a live flight test event at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
