BlueHalo and GrandSKY Partner to Create a Unique Hub for Tech Innovation, Testing, and Training

BlueHalo and GrandSKY, the nation’s first commercial business park focused on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), announced a formal agreement today through a signed memorandum of understanding (MOU). The collaboration will promote the integration of BlueHalo’s next- generation autonomous systems, layered air defense solutions, hypersonic telemetry, and airspace command and control technologies into GrandSKY’s facilities and Air Space Infrastructure Systems (ASIS) to create an unmatched flight operations environment. GA-ASI and CAE Sign Long-Term Agreement MQ-9B SkyGuardian Mission Trainer

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. and CAE have announced a long-term agreement for the development and production of the next-generation mission trainer for GA-ASI’s MQ-9B SkyGuardian remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS). The contract with GA-ASI includes a firm order for 11 mission trainers, with the opportunity to deliver up to 50 devices over the next five years. Continue reading

UAS Safety Training by Southern California Safety Institute

The idea for the UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) course at the Southern California Safety Institute originated from a question during one of the Human Factors courses about automation and a DJI drone flyaway. Since then, the Institute has been delivering the course for 12 years.
