Textron is formalizing its presence in the electric aircraft market with the formation of a new division called eAviation. The company confirmed that long-time senior executive Rob Scholl has been named to head the unit in a senior v-p role that reports directly to Textron chairman and CEO Scott Donnelly. Rolls-Royce to Power Vertical Aerospace’s eVTOL

Rolls-Royce’s ground-breaking technology is set to power Vertical Aerospace’s flagship Urban Air Mobility (UAM) aircraft. A Rolls-Royce electrical power system will be integrated into the piloted all-electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle, which will carry up to four passengers for 120 miles at cruise speeds of over 200mph and is on course to certify in 2024. Volocopter to Launch Air Taxi Services in Singapore

German Urban Air Mobility (UAM) company Volocopter announced its commitment to launch air taxi services in Singapore after two years of close collaboration with the city of Singapore. Working together with the Economic Development Board of Singapore (EDB) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Volocopter plans to make air taxi services a reality in the Southeast Asian city-state within the next three years.
