Airwayz Partners with Royal NLR to Accelerate Drone U-Space Adoption

Dynamic UTM/USSP provider, Airwayz, has announced that it is collaborating with NLR – Netherlands Aerospace Centre to support the development of the drone industry across Europe. The partnership will see Airwayz and NLR combine efforts to perform trials together, research best practice, accelerate R&D, and – where appropriate – respond to industry RFPs (Requests for Proposals) together. Danish Partnership Will Bring eVTOLs to Denmark

A new partnership between HCA Airport in Odense and Copenhagen Helicopter will be the first in Denmark to build an infrastructure for electrically powered flying taxis to ferry people between Denmark’s largest cities. Before the summer holidays, the first flying taxi is supposed be launched over Funen, and the end-goal is to establish a landing site on top of Odense Central Station. Continue reading

FAA Releases Vertiport Design Standards

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) t=has released new design guidelines for vertiports, infrastructure that will support Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft. The design standards will serve as the initial step to provide key information for airport owners, operators and infrastructure developers to begin development of facilities that will support operations of AAM aircraft that are electrically powered and take-off and land vertically.
