Amid the looming threat of surveillance by Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), 8th Army recently validated the reception, staging, onward movement, and integration of Army Prepositioned Stock (APS) at Camp Carroll, Republic of Korea. In order to support 8th Army and combat the UAS threat, Echo Battery, 6-52 Air and Missile Defense Battalion (E/6-52 AMD BN) established the first garrison Counter-UAS (C-UAS) defense design in the Korean Theater of Operations (KTO).  Continue reading

NUAIR Deploys ANRA Technologies’ UTM System

The Northeast UAS Airspace Integration Research Alliance (NUAIR), and Griffiss International Airport in Rome, New York, have successfully implemented the UAS traffic management (UTM) platform from ANRA Technologies into the New York State UAS test site. This advances the test site’s capabilities by enhancing multiple, simultaneous beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations that involve both manned and unmanned vehicles sharing the same airspace.
