Insitu to Pay $25M in Whistleblower Recycled Parts Fraud Case

Insitu Inc., headquartered in Bingen, Washington, has agreed to pay $25 million to settle allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by knowingly submitting materially false cost and pricing data for contracts with the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and the Department of the Navy (Navy) to supply and operate Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), the Department of Justice announced on January 12. Abu Dhabi University Students win Grant for AI-Powered Drones

Abu Dhabi University has announced that Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA) has awarded an AED 150,000 grant to three proposals put forth by ADU Electrical, Computer, and Mechanical Engineering students. The grant will support the winning proposals to build artificial intelligence-powered drones and robots, in preparation for EGA’s third edition of the AI Robot competition. Continue reading →
