US Navy Establishes First Carrier-Based MQ-25 Stingray Squadron

Effective October 1st, the U.S. Navy has officially established the first squadron that will operate its future MQ-25 Stingray carrier-based unmanned tankers from Boeing. The service does not expect to begin test flying more refined MQ-25 prototypes from actual carriers until the end of next year, at the earliest. Continue reading

General Dynamics Gets$1.2 B US Army Contract for Stryker IM-SHORAD Vehicles

General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) was awarded a $1.219 billion contract to produce, test and deliver Interim Manoeuvre Short-Range Air Defense (IM-SHORAD) systems to the U.S. Army. European Maritime Safety Agency Tests RPAS in Mediterranean

Aiming to test the use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) in enhancing the maritime awareness picture in the French Mediterranean Sea, Secrétariat Général de la Mer requested the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) to set-up a multipurpose maritime surveillance operation, having the Navy (Marine Nationale) and customs (Douanes) as the strategic and tactical leaders of the operation.
